Tonia R. Griffin - CEO, Founder Khambrel Foundation, Kindness Activist, Owner, IWEAR by Tonia Rene
Tonia R. Griffin, a native of Galveston County, Texas was taught at an early age how to work with anyone who needed assistance whether in life, school, church, organizations or communities. Tonia developed a strong desire to give, serve others, building ministries and planting churches. Serving under leaders began with her relationship with God.
Since the death of her mother in 2015 the vision is being fulfilled and to ensure that the legacy continues the Foundation was named “Khambrel” after my namesake and granddaughter. The Community Chest and Reaping the Harvest Ministries were established after her mother Etta Mae Lott Tucker who worked as a maid in large homes, hotels and rooming houses. Tonia was fortunate enough to work alongside her mother and help with housekeeping jobs at an early age. She was able to witness firsthand what it was like to be in need and not find help. Etta Mae was well known for a giving heart, feeding the needy, providing families with a place to stay and giving her last $1.
